A Wedding Invitation for Rachel & Gareth

Whoops,  it's been quite a while since I posted but here I hope, is something worth the wait. The wedding invitation I designed for very special people, Rachel & Gareth.

The happy couple are pictured in front of a (mildly inaccurate) London skyline as they are getting married in East Dulwich. The back print is an animal wedding band:

The inside of the A5 invitation was drawn up using dip pen & ink:

I had so much fun drawing this. Many thanks to Rach & Gaz for choosing me to design their invitation. I wish the bride & groom every happiness in their upcoming nuptials & married life to come.

Elsilver: Logo, illustration & web banner

A month ago I was contacted by Elsa at Elsilver jewellery & crafts. Elsa sells beautiful handmade silver jewellery & more good stuff at craft fairs in & around West London & soon online too. She commissioned me to design a logo for her new venture.

In the original brief Elsa asked for a logo image based around a tree. Of course then, I started my design with a stylized tree, adding silver stars & hearts hanging from the branches.

In an earlier draft, I drew a bird perched in the top twigs but in the end, we decided to have the birdy as a stand-alone illustration for the website. Here he is & below the hand-font web banner:

If you are interested in a unique, hand drawn logo for your business please drop me a line at for a chat.

Hand drawn logo/illustration/banner using paintbrush & ink. Photoshop used for the final touches.

Works in progress....

I'm busy at the moment with lots of exciting commissions:

-getting a hand font logo together for Elsilver jewellery & craft
-watching the watercolour dry on a portrait of the lovely Jordan family
-& putting the finishing touches on an A-Z of fruit and vegetables poster, for my pals at Harvest from Home

I'll post more on all of these projects as soon as they're completed but for now here's a sneak preview of some fruity vegs to whet your alphabet appetite...
